Experience: 500 ocean miles / 1750 coastal miles
In May I will be a graduated Mechanical Engineer and I hope to complete an ocean crossing before starting work. I have been on and around boats for around 12 years, starting on an O'day 36 doing overnight sails across Lake Michigan with my dad, and eventually moving up to a C&C Landfall 42. We've sailed from Fort Myers, FL to Key West, FL many times, as well as to the Dry Tortugas and Cuba. We've chartered as well, but those are my most significant passages.

I have taken and led watches at the helm through both day and night, and I am not hesitant to speak up when I am concerned about the safety of the crew or the vessel. Seasickness has not been an issue for me.

I've also worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and am PADI Advanced Open Water SCUBA certified, but I think my biggest "draw" is that I'm comfortable on boats, have some experience, and am willing and ready to learn and help out. I'll do whatever needs to be done.

Aside from sailing, I love backpacking, painting, robotics, and playing with my dog. I'm working on getting conversational in Spanish, too. :)

If you have an open spot on a crossing this year (Atlantic or Pacific, any time after May 2021) I'd love to hear from you!

One last note: I'm not open to romance, as I am happily in a committed relationship.
