Hey there. My name is Bailey. I have a small amount of cruising experience. I lived aboard my friends Beneteau First42 and helped him sail/motor from CT to FL. We spent about half a year completing the trip down the Atlantic coast. I also completed a trans-Atlantic west to east, May/June 2019 on a 40' Cat. I am well traveled and am scuba certified. I am hard working and physically fit. I’m easy to talk to, and consider myself quite personable. I have good spatial and situational awareness, can read charts and use chart plotters, use the radio (its been a bit- I'll need a refresher), and navigate. Self reliance and self sufficiency are very important to me. Before becoming a short term liveaboard, I had spent time preparing and working on plenty of boat projects. We worked on the rigging, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. I am just a beginner, but am knowledgeable enough to be a good pair of helping hands. I take direction well and would love to get more offshore experience. I would love to crew under an experienced captain. I am level headed and can persevere through tough situations. It’s not a big deal to me, but worth the mention, I have many visible tattoos (and I mean lots) and am gay. Regardless, I have travelled to many countries where this in not the norm and it was all just fine. I have a two year technical degree in industrial robotics I have recently finished. I am clean and quiet and respectful of space. | |
