What I lack in experience I can supplement with money, time, focus and unwavering determination. I'm trustworthy, rock solid, reliable and resilient. Not the life of the party or the quickest wit - that's not me. Steady as she goes and diligent is who I am. Recently retired, I can fly on short notice to meet your boat anywhere. I've logged 14,000nm in the 2 years prior to the pandemic. Completed all World ARC legs from Fiji west to Richards' Bay, South Africa just prior to the global shutdown. I'm steady on the helm (especially hand steered boats), diligent on watch, congenial always, but have a lot to learn otherwise. I'll soon embark on certification work and am looking for opportunities to join any boats needing crew of marginal experience. An expat for 19 years, I was born in the US, lived for 17 years in Hawai'i, where I day sailed regularly for several years on two 50' yachts, mostly day sailing, but I also logged 3 inter-island voyages between the Big Island & Oahu. My intention is to circumnavigate the Pacific end-to-end and top-to-bottom. I'm very settled, congenial, have no personality quirks nor temper. Again, I'd be very happy to contribute generously to the boat, as experience earned is my priority and time is of the essence. Looking forward to hearing from interested skippers soon. ๐ | |
