Hi, I'm Caitlin (the brunette in the picture) and I'm really keen to see more of the world via boat. I am a former lawyer but decided the combination of boredom and stress just wasn't worth it any more. I love travelling and meeting new people, with a 7 month trip in 2019 around Africa, the South Pacific and Asia being my longest trip to date. During my childhood my dad had a Hallberg Rassy 36 that he kept in Portugal - I had quite a few summer holidays onboard generally helping out but unfortunately was a slightly disinterested teenager, only becoming really interested in sailing almost the minute he sold up! In 2019 I completed my competent crew in Greece and in summer 2022 I sailed with friends from Sardinia to Sicily, completing my first night sail! I loved every minute of it and am now determined to return to the ocean - ideally back to the south pacific which I absolutely loved when I travelled there in 2019 (Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu and PNG). I love cooking, scuba diving, reading and listening to music. Towards the end of this year I'm planning on getting my certificate in culinary arts so can hopefully whip up some delicious meals even with limited provisioning! Really keen to help out, learn and see some amazing places!
