New information On top of what I have already accomplished I crewed on the ARC Europe in May 2018, Nov. 2018, Florida to BVI Nov. 2018, BVI to Florida March 2019, Florida to St. John's NL May - June 2019. I am available all the time. I am looking to do ocean crossings the ARC or other, and more costal sailing, Island hopping, learning and adventure. "Messing around in boats". I have been sailing all my life starting with dingys as a young teenager. Cursing on Great Lakes in Canada, costal sailing in the USA, BVI, and the Panama Canal, past owner of a 9 meter sailboat (for 12 years) good knowledge of boat systems, electrical, engine, rigging, and all facets of costal sailing. Offshore 1500 mile voyage in South East Asia, 600 miles from Bahamas to N. Carolina. 1000 miles from New York to Florida golf offshore, and 2900 nm ARC Europe. I am now retired so am in control of my time. I am in excellent physical shape (runner of 9 marathons, long distance cycling, hiking, canoeing). I have Canadian Power Squadron training up to and including Junior Navigator (celestial navigation). RYA Offshore Ocean certificate. I am an Advanced Scuba Diver, First Aid with CPR / AID adult, child and infant. I can cook a little, am very handy, can fix most things that break or figure out a work around. I am easy going and open minded, reliable, easy sense of humour and adventurous. Not high maintenance, having the ability to handle all sailing situations, navigation, all aspects of boat handling, Not looking to take over, but I have the skills to if necessary. Non smoking, social drinker. (No drugs or other illegal activities and expect the same).
