I have been a Biologist and Hospitality Manager at a remote resort for 38 years and am comfortable both spending time alone and working with a team to ensure great service. Am ready now to head out to sea. A quiet observer by nature, I enjoy understanding the big picture and using as much detail as needed to solve problems. Trained as a scientist, I prefer to be logical and objective in making pragmatic decisions. I like to laugh but am cursed with a British sense of humor:) My life to date has been very organized – work first, play later. Certified Scuba diver, Restricted VHF marine radio license, Navigation course, Intermediate Cruising course and ICC certificate. I enjoy being on the water. My sailing experience has been 1-2 week vacations on a Corbin 39 owned by a friend, mostly covering the Canadian East coast between Halifax and Newfoundland, plus the Exumas in Bahama and Georgian Bay in Ontario. Locally, my wife and I sail our old Hunter 28 on the Ottawa River. In 2019 I crewed on a 50 ft ketch along the west coast of Mexico across the Sea of Cortez and I am seeking more off shore sailing experience. | |
