Hello, my name is Benoit and my first sailing experience dates back from when I was a kid, as we spent all the summers as a family on my dad's sailboat (Westerly Centaur 26') in the inland waters of the Netherlands. Then there was a gap of nearly 20 years during which I haven't set foot on a sailboat, except when I chartered an Oceanis 36' for a week in the Netherlands in summer 2008. This summer I finally decided to get back into sailing seriously, and passed my IYT bareboat skipper license on lake Ontario. My goal is to go for my RYA Yachtmaster certification, and in order to do that I need to first log lots of miles and time on a sailboat; and learn a lot of stuff. This is why I registered on this website :-) I am looking for opportunities to sail and to learn, and to meet new like-minded people and have fun while doing it! I would say that I am an easy-going guy, resourceful and adaptable. I am in excellent physical shape and also a quick learner. I look forward to bringing value as a crew member on your next adventure!
Smoking: non-smoker
Relationship status: single
Dietary requirements: I normally am vegan, but understand this can get complicated on a sailboat. My only food allergy is to shellfish. While on a boat I can eat fish and otherwise follow a less strict vegetarian diet.
