Hi skipper! Looking for an extra pair of hands for your upcoming Atlantic passage? Consider me as part of your crew! I'm currently in Las Palmas and available immediately. I hope to gain more experience and have a good time with the team. I'm positive, learn quickly & work hard.
What I bring to the table: I'm not very experienced at sailing yet, but did recently complete 2-weeks of sailing training in Portugal (Day Skipper + Competent Crew). I can work under pressure, which I've experienced a few years back when I was on a three-master during an MOB situation in bad weather.
I have a positive outlook on things, am generally easy to connect with others and realize that an Atlantic crossing is also going to be hard work. Furthermore, I am a reasonable cook (also on the water), physically & mentally fit, and I am a good swimmer (recently completed a triathlon).
What I look for: I want to experience what it is like to cross an ocean by boat, learn how to sail a boat under a variety of circumstances, and generally look to have a good time with those on board. I would like to go to the Caribbean, but have no particular destination country/island in mind.
