I am a fun, fit, calm, flexible, resourceful, easy going team player with a positive can do attitude. I have had over a 15 years of sailing experience and in the last five years as skipper of my own sailboat.. The majority of my experience has been cruising although in the last four years I have been racing every week in local and provincial races on a number of different boats.
I have just competed the ARC 2019 Las Palmas to St Lucia on a Beneteau FIrst 40.7 in the racing division and loved it
I am an active duty advanced crew with Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Unit 14. I train weekly on the water with SAR as well as attending classroom sessions and joint training exercises with other emergency service providers.
In the past, I have worked with Outward Board for several years and more recently have completed 5 overseas missions of 3-12 months in duration with Doctors Without Borders. Both of these experiences have equipped me well to live in confined spaces with others in challenging contexts.
I am looking to broaden my sailing experience build miles and to be an active crew on a boat making major crossings. I am particularly interested in joining the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers this November.
If it sounds like this would be a fit for you and your boat, I would welcome hearing from you. |
