I am a Swede travelling the world through the lens of community building and food systems until summer of 2023. Sailing as much as possible. I love exploring the thrill of being human. Which made me buy a 29 feet sailing boat, with electric engine, 2 years ago after sailing 3 weekends with friends. I then took the Inshore Yachtmaster Diploma, Yachtsman's diploma 1 & 2 and one course in dinghy sailing and another in sail racing with Fareast 28 and became a team member of a J70 team. This summer I was the skipper on my own boat, in good company of an experienced woman, travelling the Swedish west coast, navigating among granite cliffs and entering many cute little harbours. Late September I stepped on Amandla Kulu, a Hanse 505, from Cascais, Portugal to Gran Canaria. An ocean journey filled with orca attacks, 13 knots of speed in 30 knots of wind, sea sickness, bread baking and amazing nights among the stars and in total darkness. With the most loving, caring team one can imagine. The power of a positive, caring attitude and willingness to support crew members on the level they are could not have been expressed in a better way. Right now in search for good company to sail any waters!
