| A life long sailor and mountaineer. I have an easy going personality able to get on with anyone and not afraid of hard work. I have Skippered, crewed and owned many yachts from 64 foot classic's to small day sailors. I am good on yacht maintenance and can fix most things. I am also a reasonable cook. I have made three Atlantic crossings two as watch leader and one as skipper. All were with the ARC. Having made eleven trips from Scotland to the Mediterranean through the Irish sea and across the Bay of Biscay I am no stranger to heavy weather. For the last 15 years I have been head of an Outdoor Education Centre taking school children Climbing, Canoeing, sailing and rock climbing. I have a RYA Ocean yacht master ticket and can teach Celestial navigation. I am a non smoker fit and healthy. I enjoy running and keeping fit. I have a PADI divers ticket. Having spent many weeks at sea I know how important it is to keep moral high and pride myself as a motivator. Able to stay calm and focused whatever the situation.
