English (french follows) Hello to all sailors! With Thomas, we are looking for 2 places on board a boat for a transatlantic race this fall from Europe (very very flexible) to the Caribbean (very very flexible)! (We are 100% open on the dates and the destination) We'll try to turn our ad a little differently to charm you, we understand that it was almost a war to find a boat across the Atlantic... We are Andréa and Thomas (27 and 31), two French expats in Quebec! We are taking a sabbatical year to go on an adventure to Central and South America, with the least carbon footprint possible, backpack on our backs and hamak in our pockets! Beginners in sailing BUT Thomas, proud Breton, took sailing lessons when he was younger and since May we alternate practice and theory: several sailing trips of a few days each during the summer (St. Lawrence River in Quebec and Breton coasts) and we follow with assiduity the online training with OceanSkills. We also helped a sailor on land to repair his boat last spring! As far as resistance is concerned, we think that we have some assets in our pocket to make the crossing go very well: we don't sleep much! This will be precious to keep watches and watches, and to keep a good mood. We are enduring! Both sportsmen, we are not afraid of the rustic side that a month on a boat can entail. We are moored! To date everything is going well, the tests in rough sea proved to be conclusive, we keep the smile. We keep our cool! No matter what happens, we manage to keep our calm and stay zen to avoid adding a layer. Personality-wise, we are two super sociable people, curious to learn how to sail and to put our hands on the boat! We love outdoor activities (camping, kayaking, rafting and hiking) and we are used to live with a minimum of comfort and especially in common life (we shared several roommates). Moreover, all our navigations went very well, if you ever want recommendations we have some for you! :) We also love to play cards (we won't be the last to start a game to pass the time), to cook, to laugh, to share... we took the best of Quebec! We will obviously participate in the boarding fund and other expenses necessary for the crossing. That's it! We hope to hear from you soon, we're available for a warm-up sail of course, you can contact me by mp! On garde notre sang froid! :)
