| I’m a keen sailor, having learned to sail and race from the age of six in Bembridge and around the Isle of Wight – in Optimists, Scows, Fusions, RS Fevas, Laser 4.7s, J70s and a host of other boats. Sailed each summer and latterly instructed youth sailing. Royal Yachting Association (RYA) accreditations including: RYA Dinghy Instructor (2019), Powerboat Level 2, First Aid (2019); RYA Dinghy Instructor Training (2019). Competed in RS Feva Nationals (Weymouth) in 2016 and sailed singlehanded around the Isle of Wight in 2020, raising over £17k for a local charity. Some larger keel boat sailing including Royal Yacht Squadron J109 Youth Training Course in J109s (April 2019) and bareboat cruising with family in Mallorca, Croatia and Greece in an array of 45-50’ sailboats. Also solid motorboat handling skills. Am seeking added larger boat and offshore experience, including objective for trans- Atlantic passage. | |
